MSP-LVL / CONFIGURATION REVIEW
Liquid level and interface probes
Configure tank level, oil/water interface and temperature measurement around the actual liquid, tank geometry and installation environment.
DEFINE THE REQUIRED OPERATING WINDOW
Confirm the assembly before the part number.

Modbus RTU / 4–20 mA / HART review
Availability confirmed during configuration review.- Give liquid density, viscosity, temperature and material compatibility. Interface floats require a suitable density difference between the two liquids.
- Long flexible probes require a verified installation, anchoring and straightening procedure; nominal tank height is not the complete probe length.
- For hazardous locations, request the exact certificate, equipment marking, protection concept and approved installation drawing. The certificate must cover the delivered manufacturer, model and equipment marking. No explosion-protection certification is asserted here.
| Interface | Drawing / parameter to confirm | Electrical review |
|---|---|---|
| Process thread / flange | Tank opening, process seal, insertion depth | Supply, Modbus map / HART variables |
| Level / interface floats | Liquid densities, float travel and bottom clearance | Output mapping and temperature channels |
Specify the float and process environment.
- Provide the complete original part number and installation dimensions.
- Confirm thread / mount, active stroke, blind zones and exact output definition.
- Approve the proposed drawing, pinout and sample acceptance criteria before installation.
Third-party product names identify comparison requests. MagStrictive is an independent brand; interchangeability requires case-by-case review.
Request a level probe configuration
Ask for suitable level / interface floats, process fittings and compatible cable entries in your application notes.
